Gig Economy
Description
Gig economy allows workers who do not necessarily want the traditional nine-to-five job in a corporate structure to opt into small chunks of mostly project and task-based work – hence 'gig' – usually through a technology-enabled talent platform. This mostly relates to independent contractors, online platform workers, contract firm workers, on-call workers and temporary workers.
