Michael Fossat is a seasoned HR executive with over two decades of experience at Schneider Electric, a global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation. Currently serving as Vice President of Human Resources for Sustainability, Michael plays a pivotal role in aligning Schneider Electric’s people strategy with its ambitious sustainability goals.
Michael began his journey with Schneider Electric in France as an HR apprentice in the industrial department. Over the years, he has held a wide range of strategic HR roles across geographies and functions—including the creation of global HR shared services, leading HR for R&D, and establishing the global HR Metrics function. His career has spanned leadership roles in business units, regional HR for Central and Eastern Europe, and HR oversight for Schneider’s European manufacturing and distribution operations.
In 2021, Michael took on the leadership of the Future Ready Program, where he spearheaded the Senior Talent Program—a global initiative designed to empower experienced employees through career development, upskilling, coaching, reverse mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Michael is deeply passionate about the intersection of people and sustainable business. He believes that human capital is central to driving the transition toward a more sustainable and resilient future.
