Alberto González de Mena is a seasoned learning strategist with over 14 years of experience at BBVA, where he currently leads the bank’s Learning Strategy. Based in Madrid, Alberto is a passionate advocate for the transformative power of digitisation in human development, firmly believing that how we learn is just as important as what we learn. Throughout his career at BBVA, Alberto has held several key roles within the Talent & Culture division, including Learning Discipline Manager and Corporate Training Lead. His work focuses on embedding performance improvement, digital literacy, and data-driven personalisation into BBVA’s employee learning experiences. Under his leadership, BBVA’s learning initiatives have evolved into strategic tools for business transformation, aligning employee development with digital innovation, sustainability, and customer value. A firm believer in customer-centric learning, Alberto champions approaches that simplify access, personalise content, and help employees turn insights into action through intuitive platforms. His vision positions learning as a core pillar of both employee engagement and business strategy.
